Quick Fitness Bio

As a young kid to an adult, I have always been into sports (basketball, football, baseball and etc). In high school I elected to become an assistant softball coach, as apart of my volunteer service program. Being an assistant coach really got me into wanting to learn more about not just playing sports but being apart of the coaching/administrative side of it. After High school I attended Coppin State University, where I pursued and completed my degree in Sports Management. While in college, I would stay active in casual sports playing and weight lifting. I gained weight during my years in college and after mostly due to eating habits and not being as active as I could be. In 2010 was when I was at my biggest and around 250 lbs, I then decided that I needed to get my weight under control. I signed up for Planet Fitness and all i knew about fitness was that I needed to have less calories from food and to be more active (nothing about nutrition at all). I lost around 80 lbs just by following that model, but during my fitness journey I started watching Youtube videos and reading to gain a better understanding of nutrition and different ways to workout. I was very slim aka skinny fat lol, I put on more lean muscle mass in a healthy way. From then I became a fitness junkie. In 2017, I started to pursue personal training which stemmed from helping various people on their fitness journey. I became a certified personal trainer by completing  National Strength Professional Association (NSPA) course, and 2020 I completed the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) course .
